Suances, Cantabria, Spain. Accessible by car via the CA-132 road. Bus service available from Torrelavega to Suances. Parking available with fewer than 50 spaces. The nearest hospital is Sierrallana in Torrelavega, 15 kilometers away.

Chlorophyll-a concentration in the coastal water station is approximately 2.5 µg/l. Phytoplankton density in Cantabrian estuaries is very low, below 5,000,000 cells/l.
