Manyetes beach is located in the municipality of Alcalá de Xivert in the province of Castellón, in the Valencian Community, Spain. The beach has a longitudinal open configuration without defense structures or a seafront promenade. It is bounded to the north by Playa del Moro and to the south by Playa Nord de Torreblanca. The beach is sandy in composition and of seminatural origin, situated on a low accumulation coast with a microtidal range.

Water

Marine bathing zone located in a coastal water body. The waterline has a length of 533.6 meters with an average width of 31.9 meters. Current direction flows from south to north. The zone belongs to the Júcar River Basin District. Annual precipitation in the influence zone is 325 mm, with April as the wettest month and July as the driest.

Location

Alcalá de Xivert, Castellón province, Valencian Community, Spain. Access is available to the beach, including disabled access. Parking is available.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent for the monitoring point (2020–2023). The water body status is classified as Good. Weekly inspections are conducted during the bathing season to assess visual inspection parameters and overall beach conditions. No direct discharge points to the coastline affect water quality. An urban wastewater treatment plant (EDAR Alcalá Xivert) serves the municipality with a project capacity of 1000 m³/d, with discharge via a submarine outfall constructed in 1993.

Risks

Low frequency and mild impact risks from: rainfall, urban sanitation systems, direct coastal discharge, rivers/canals, industrial installations, port facilities, and diffuse pollution. No cyanobacteria proliferation has been detected in the Valencian coastal area. Phytoplankton blooms and jellyfish swarms are natural phenomena that may occur in areas with low water renewal.
