Playa del Saladar is a beach located in Alicante, Spain, in the Valencian Community. It is an open longitudinal beach with a rigid promenade and no defense structures. The beach extends 1,772.8 metres along the shoreline with an average width of 61.3 metres and is composed of natural sand.

Location

Located in the municipality of Alicante, province of Alicante, Valencian Community, Spain. The beach is bounded to the north by the Aguamarga area and to the south by Playa El Pinet. Parking is available. Access is provided for people with disabilities.

Lifeguards and rescue services available. Free public toilets. Foot showers (lavapiés). Accessible point service. Parking. Beach bar/café. Buoys for demarcation. Umbrella and lounger rental. Waste bins including selective collection.

Water Quality

Water quality classification recorded as Excellent for the 2019–2022 monitoring seasons. The water body status is classified as Poor under the Water Framework Directive. No direct discharges to the coastline affect water quality. The beach is monitored by the Conselleria de Agricultura, Medio Ambiente, Cambio Climático y Desarrollo Rural. Short-duration pollution factors (rainfall, urban sanitation, coastal discharges) are recorded as low frequency with mild impact.
