Playa dels Estanys is a natural bathing beach located in Ses Salines, Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands. The beach stretches 230 metres in length with a width of 12 metres and features fine sand with a gentle slope. It is a free-access recreational bathing area used primarily by non-local visitors on a daily basis with medium attendance.

Free-access bathing water. The water body is the MAMC11M3 water mass, located between Cala Figuera and Cala Beltran. The beach has a gentle slope with fine sand substrate. No currents, whirlpools, or rip currents are present.

Water Quality

Annual water quality classification was Excellent for 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The 2022–2023 assessment indicates Moderate status. No short-duration pollution episodes (less than 72 hours) were recorded from 2019 to 2022. No exceptional pollution episodes (longer than 72 hours) were recorded. Identified pollution sources include septic tanks, boats, storm water discharge, and wastewater treatment systems (EBAR).

Risks

Occasional phytoplankton proliferation risk. Occasional jellyfish presence. No history of cyanobacteria blooms. Floating waste accumulation is measured based on the proportion of litter collected along the Els Estanys–Cala en Tugores route relative to total waste collected in the Balearic Islands annually.
