Playa La Enramada is a coastal bathing beach located in Adeje, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. The beach stretches 360 meters in length with a width of 38.22 meters. Water Quality

Water quality classification based on analysis of fecal indicator bacteria (Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci) collected over four years in accordance with RD 1341/2007. The coastal water mass ES70TFTV_1 (Montaña Pelada – Barranco Seco) is in good ecological status with good or better overall status.

Risks

Identified point sources of potential contamination: EDAM Adeje Oeste wastewater treatment plant, bars (El Cabezo, El Muelle, Varadero), and Hotel Sheraton La Caleta. Three watercourses (Barranco del Inglés, Barranco de Las Torres, Barranco del Agua) may contribute contamination. Anticipated short-duration contamination events include stormwater runoff from heavy rainfall, urban wastewater discharges (pipeline breaks, emergencies, unauthorized discharges), and brine discharge from desalination plants. No medusa or sea urchin risk. No macroalgae risk. Cyanobacteria (Trichodesmium) proliferation episodes recorded in 2017.
