Illa de Arousa (A), Pontevedra province, Galicia. Reference locality: O Grove. Coordinates: UTM 510574 X, 4708395 Y (European Datum 1950, UTM 29N).

Water Quality

Classified as Excellent for bathing water quality. E. coli concentrations show a declining trend from 2008 to 2010. Enterococcus concentrations are low and stable. No contamination history recorded. Adjacent shellfish production zone GAL 09/08 Enseada de O Grove is classified as Zone B with no recorded incidents.

Risks

No significant risk from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events. No identified risk from localized discharges.
