Playa Les Pesqueres - El Rebolló is a natural sandy beach located in Elche, Alicante, in the Valencia region of Spain. The beach has a longitudinal open configuration with wooden boardwalks providing access to the shoreline and no coastal defence structures. It is bordered to the north by Playa La Marina and to the south by Playa Els Vivers.

Water

Coastal marine water body. Mean high tide shoreline length of 1,180.2 metres with average width of 36.8 metres. Sandy composition. Natural origin beach with low accumulation coast. Current direction flows from south to north. Microtidal range. Located in the Júcar hydrographic basin. Annual precipitation in the zone of influence is 246 millimetres with average monthly precipitation of 20.5 millimetres.

Location

Located in the municipality of Elche, province of Alicante, Valencia. Parking is available. Access is provided for people with disabilities.

Facilities

Lifeguards on duty, free public toilets, foot-washing facilities, bins with waste separation, disabled access, beach buoys and signage, bar/chiringuito, tourist train transport, kiosk. Medium-density bather frequency during bathing season.

June 1 to September 15

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored from June 1 to September 15 each year. Monitoring is based on the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/CE and Royal Decree 1341/2007 on bathing water quality management. Weekly inspections are conducted during the bathing season to assess visual inspection parameters, beach maintenance, and nearby discharge points. No direct sewage connections or natural geographical accident points (streams, ravines) that could affect water quality have been identified.

Risks

Potential contamination risks identified as low frequency with mild impact: rainfall, urban sewage systems, and coastal discharges. Rivers, canals, industrial facilities, port installations, and diffuse pollution are assessed as low frequency with mild impact. No direct coastal discharges affecting beach water quality exist.
