Palmanova is an artificial sandy beach located on the island of Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. The beach stretches 491 metres in length and 127 metres in width with a gentle slope and fine sand substrate. It is a popular recreational bathing area with high visitor numbers, mostly from outside the local region, and features a seafront promenade.

Free-flowing bathing water. The water body is classified as MAMC16M3, located between Cala Major and Cala Falcó. The beach is 491 metres long and 127 metres wide with a gentle slope.

Palmanova is situated in the municipality of Calviá on Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. Pedestrian access is good. Vehicular access is good. Parking is available and good. Disabled access is good.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2019–2022). Historical classifications: Good (2007–09), Acceptable (2018–19), Good (2022–23). Short-duration pollution episodes (<72 hours) occurred once in 2020. No exceptional episodes (>72 hours) were recorded. Floating debris accumulation ranged from Medium (2019–2020) to Very High (2021) to Low (2022).

Risks

Occasional phytoplankton proliferation. Occasional jellyfish. One wastewater outfall located 1.5 kilometres away. Accidental sewage system blockages and vessel discharges identified as point-source pollution. Surface runoff noted as additional contamination source. No rip currents. No whirlpools. No undertow.
