Playa El Porman is a natural sandy beach located in La Unión, Spain, within the Mediterranean Sea coastal zone of the Segura River Basin. The beach is characterized by dark sand substrate and experiences medium occupancy with local users primarily engaged in recreational swimming. Water renewal occurs within less than 7 days, and the beach is situated in an isolated, non-urbanized area without a promenade.

Facilities

Foot washing stations (2 present). No showers, toilets, or changing facilities.

Water Quality

Water quality was rated as excellent during 2000–2009 and continued to be rated as excellent in 2010 and 2011. The beach is situated in the coastal water mass "Cabo Negrete-La Manceba", which does not achieve good ecological potential according to official planning standards.

Risks

Toxic phytoplankton proliferation risk rated as null or very low based on 2008 sampling. Jellyfish appear seasonally, with maximum abundance occurring from early spring through late summer. Toxic phytoplankton proliferation is a natural phenomenon that rarely affects public health or ecosystems.
