Punta del Raset is a beach located in Denia, Alicante, in the Valencian Community, Spain. The beach has an irregular closed configuration with perpendicular breakwaters as defensive structures and a wooden boardwalk. It is bounded to the north by Les Marines beach and to the south by Denia's port area. The beach is composed of artificial sand and has a low, accumulating coastline.

Water Quality

Water quality classification system established under Royal Decree 1341/2007. Monitoring occurs weekly during bathing season. Water body status is classified as good. Assessment parameters include visual inspection analysis, water appearance, and sand cleanliness, rated as excellent, good, sufficient, or insufficient. Monitoring point (Centro Playa) established in 1997.

Risks

Canal Playa Nova discharge with mixed origin presents high risk, located north of the beach, with 10 m width, artificial watercourse type, seasonal discharge frequency. Short-duration pollution risk factors: rainfall (low frequency, slight effect), urban sewage systems (low frequency, slight effect), coastal discharges (low frequency, slight effect). Rivers and canals (low frequency, slight effect). Industrial installations (low frequency, slight effect). Port installations (low frequency, slight effect). Diffuse pollution (low frequency, slight effect). No cyanobacteria episodes detected in the Valencian Community coastal area. Phytoplankton proliferation and jellyfish blooms are possible natural phenomena associated with coastal geomorphology and climatic conditions.
