Punta Prima is a natural sandy beach located on the island of Menorca in the Balearic Islands. The beach is 200 metres long and 75 metres wide with a gentle slope and fine sand. It is a popular recreational bathing area with high daily attendance and a promenade along the waterfront.

Location

The beach is located in the municipality of Sant Lluis on the island of Menorca, Balearic Islands. Pedestrian access is good, vehicle access is good, and parking is available.

Lifeguard services, pedestrian access, disabled access, promenade, and parking available.

Water Quality

Annual water quality classification for 2019–2022: Excellent. Water quality status for 2022–23: Good. Short-duration pollution episodes (less than 72 hours) occurred in 2019 and 2021; one exceptional episode (over 72 hours) in 2022. Floating waste accumulation level: very low for 2020–2022, low for 2019. Pollution sources include three storm overflow outlets and stormwater runoff.

Risks

Jellyfish are occasionally present. No history of phytoplankton or cyanobacteria proliferation.
