Location

Fisterra, Galicia, Spain. Reference locality: Castrexe. Coordinates: UTM 29N 478561 X, 4757986 Y (European Datum 1950).

Water Quality

Water body status is classified as good. Historical microbiological data from 2008–2010 shows E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations. The bathing zone has no history of contamination according to historical classification. Adjacent shellfish production zone GAL 06/01 Costa da Morte is classified as Zone B with no recorded incidents.

Risks

No short-duration contamination risks from occasional discharges associated with precipitation events or localised discharges were identified.
