Water quality classified as excellent in recent monitoring results. Risk of contamination is moderate due to influence from the Bedón River, which can increase enterobacterial concentrations through seepage, runoff, and unidentified discharges. The beach is not prone to harmful algal blooms or cyanobacteria proliferation based on historical data and sampling results.

Risks

Moderate contamination risk from the Bedón River discharging into the beach, which can transport organic matter and enterobacterial contamination through seepage, runoff, and fecal-origin discharges from adjacent agricultural properties. Short-duration contamination episodes possible. Jellyfish occurrences are rare, with only one Portuguese man o' war sighting recorded in July 2008 and occasional other species in spring-summer months. Macroalgae proliferation risk is low.
