Water Quality

The water body is classified as having poor status. Historical monitoring data from 2008–2010 shows E. coli and Enterococcus concentrations. The bathing zone has been classified as insufficient for at least one year historically.

Risks

Short-duration contamination risk associated with heavy precipitation events, classified with yellow alert status. The adjacent shellfish production zone (GAL 11/04 Ría de Vigo) is classified as Zone B with no antecedents.
