Cala Tirant is a natural bathing beach located on the island of Menorca in the Balearic Islands. The beach measures 570 metres in length and 90 metres in width with a medium slope and coarse sand substrate. It experiences currents, whirlpools, and undertow. The beach is open water and used recreationally by local residents on a daily basis with medium visitor numbers.

Cala Tirant is located in the municipality of Es Mercadal on the island of Menorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. Pedestrian access is available and good. Vehicle access is available and good. Parking is available and good.

Water Quality

Annual water quality classification: Excellent (2019–2022). Water body status 2022–23: Good. No short-duration pollution episodes recorded 2019–2022. One exceptional pollution episode (>72 hours) recorded in 2019. Floating waste accumulation measured as low (2022). Pollution sources include two outlets without spillway relief, torrents, rainfall drainage, and septic tanks.

Risks

Occasional jellyfish occurrence. No recorded phytoplankton or cyanobacteria proliferations.
