Zapillo is a beach in Almería, Andalucía, located on the Mediterranean coast. The beach extends 500 metres in length with an average width of 40 metres and features dark sand. It experiences calm bathing waters and moderate wave exposure, with waves primarily from the east and northeast driven by Levante winds. The beach is highly occupied and fully urbanized with a seafront promenade.

Mediterranean coastal waters influenced by Atlantic waters. Water body code 610017 Guardias Viejas - Rambla de Morales. Deep waters with mud and sand substrate. Microtidal range (0–2 m). Currents dominate towards the east, east-southeast, and east-northeast. Annual precipitation 200–400 mm.

Location

Almería municipality, Andalucía, Spain. The beach is easily accessible on foot or by car. A sports port is located in Almería.
