Ponçãlhão da Valeta is an urban beach located on the left bank of the Vez river in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez. The beach features sand interspersed with shaded areas. Short-term pollution events are likely to occur during periods of heavy precipitation due to microbiological runoff into the river and tributary streams, as well as potential illegal discharges of untreated effluents and damage to sanitation infrastructure upstream of the beach.
