Location

The beach is located in the municipalities of Plouarzel and Ploumoguer in the Finistère department. Parking areas are available on both the north and south sides of the beach with vehicle access via a boat ramp (cale) on the south side.

Water Quality

Bacteriological monitoring conducted by the ARS (Regional Health Authority) from 2011 to 2021 is documented. Water quality classification follows French bathing water regulations. Risks

The beach is sensitive to green algae bloating. Potential bacterial contamination sources include agricultural runoff, wastewater discharges, and storm water flows. Jellyfish and Portuguese man o'war (Physalies) have been observed washed ashore. Contamination probability increases during rainfall events.
