Porthor

United Kingdom Coastal Unknown 17.5°C

Porthor lies on the north coast of the Llŷn peninsula, known for its sand that produces a whistling sound underfoot. A National Trust car park sits at the top of the hill, with toilets available there and near the beach, and a tarmac path leads down to the sand, which is steep in places. A small cafe operates near the entrance, and rocks with tidal pools are located at the eastern end of the beach.
