Natural lake with a water surface area of 0.165 km² and maximum depth of 10.2 m. Elevation 154 m above sea level. The lake lacks surface inflow; groundwater supply is insufficient to maintain stable water levels, resulting in decreasing water volume over time. Ecological status class is very good (ÖKZ 1) and oligotrophic.

Located at the edge of Lucka, Thuringia. Parking available. Toilets, a kiosk, and a children's playground are situated near the bathing beach.
