Proizd is a natural beach located in Vela Luka on the island of Korčula, Croatia. The beach features a rocky shore with low vegetation and spans 110 meters in length and 15 meters in width. It has an indented coastline with mild underwater slopes and experiences high bather density during the season. The beach is part of an ecological network.

Adriatic Sea. Average temperature 23.65°C during season. Salinity ranges from 36.5 to 38.8 PSU. Tide amplitude 23.9 cm. Mild coastal and underwater slopes (less than 15 degrees). Prevailing wind from the north.

Location

Vela Luka, Korčula island, Croatia. Access via pedestrian path. No parking available.

Season

Monitoring conducted year-round with 10 samples annually from 2010 onwards.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually since 2009 under both Croatian national regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ. Assessment classifications include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor ratings.
