Río Ladra in Begonte is a bathing site located in a regular river with siliceous characteristics and maximum flows in January and February. The river features central bar deposits with varying grain sizes, including rounded stones, gravel, and sand. The substrate comprises detrital materials, metamorphic materials, and granitic igneous rocks. The bathing zone is situated within a Special Conservation Area (Parga-Ladra-Támoga) and the Terras do Miño Biosphere Reserve.
