Gradska plaža Poreč is a cultivated town beach in Poreč, Croatia, with a wavelike rocky coastline. The beach stretches 870 metres in length and 30 metres in width, featuring both rock and stone plate surfaces with low and high vegetation. It experiences a steep coastal slope of more than 25 degrees and moderate underwater slope. The beach holds Blue Flag status and experiences high bather density during the season.

Location

Poreč, Croatia. Beach access via pedestrian path. Free parking available. Sampling coordinates: 45.2219°N 13.5925°E and 45.2176°N 13.5912°E and 45.2194°N 13.5916°E.

Facilities

Restaurant, lifeguard service, sanitary facilities, showers, changing rooms, disabled access (invalides), aquagan, benches, and trash cans. Floating safety lines provide sea-side protection at the beach front.

Season

Monitored year-round with 10 samples collected annually. Official bathing season aligns with warm water months; average sea temperature during season is 24.46°C.

Water Quality

Water quality has been monitored annually with 10 samples per year since 2009. Four-year rolling assessments based on 40 samples per period have been conducted continuously. Quality classifications recorded include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor ratings under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EC.
