Sabinensee is a natural lake located 17 km east of Templin in the Uckermark Lakes Nature Park, formed during the last ice age. Its half-moon-shaped basin covers 52 hectares with a maximum depth of 6.6 metres. The lake is fed by groundwater and receives inflows from drained agricultural fields and marshland drainage systems. The bathing spot Willmine is situated on the northern shore and is subject to regular microbiological monitoring under Brandenburg bathing water regulations.
