Sarathei

Italy Lake 1 - Excellent

Sarathei is an excellent-quality bathing water located on Lake Santa Croce in the Veneto region. The beach is at least 20 metres wide and positioned 200 metres from the mouth of the Tesa stream, a tributary of the lake. The beach faces south-west and is near a campsite and the road that circles the lake. The lake is a natural water body modified by an ENEL regulation dam.

Lake Santa Croce, Alpago municipality, Belluno province, Veneto region. The bathing area extends 0.473 km and is located 200 metres from the mouth of the Tesa stream.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is excellent (years 2021–2024). Enterococcus intestinalis 95th percentile: 11.682; 90th percentile: 8.007. Escherichia coli 95th percentile: 55.328; 90th percentile: 33.55. Pollution sources identified include the mouths of the Tesa and Runal streams. No active wastewater treatment plant is operating.
