Schervenzsee is a natural lake located approximately 7 km south of Müllrose in the Schlaube valley Nature Park. The lake covers about 20 hectares and reaches a maximum depth of 10 metres. It is completely surrounded by forest with no surface inflow or outflow. Despite its woodland setting, the lake is relatively nutrient-rich. Visibility at the bathing area ranged from 0.8 to 3.0 metres during the season, with an average of 1.8 metres.

Water

Natural lake with a surface area of 20.41 hectares and maximum depth of 10 metres. The lake lies in a narrow, winding depression without surface inflows or outflows. Sandy geology characterises the immediate environment, with sandy banks at the shore.

Location

Located approximately 7 km south of Müllrose in the Schlaube valley Nature Park. The bathing area is named Schernsdorf, Bungalows, situated at the north shore of the lake where a camping and bungalow facility operates.

Facilities

Camping and bungalow facility at the north shore. Boat and bicycle rental available. No specific mention of lifeguards, toilets, showers, disabled access, or bathing flags.

Monitoring conducted through four-weekly sampling in accordance with Brandenburg bathing water regulations. No specific swimming season dates provided.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: excellent for 2016–2022 (four consecutive four-year periods), declining to good for 2021–2024. E. coli measured at 95-percentile of 159/100 ml and intestinal enterococci at 95-percentile of 277/100 ml for 2021–2024. No exceedances of individual parameter values were recorded. No cyanobacteria blooms were observed.
