Schwarzer See is a natural lake located approximately 60 km east of Berlin and 17 km from Frankfurt an der Oder in Brandenburg, Germany. It forms part of a chain of 15 lakes in an ice age channel. The lake has an oval water surface of approximately 35.21 hectares with a maximum depth of 14 m. The lake is surrounded by forest on its eastern shore and the village of Falkenhagen on its western and northern shores. Water quality has improved significantly since the 1990s, and the lake is now classified as having excellent bathing water quality.
