Natural lake with a surface area of 16.81 hectares. Maximum depth is 12 metres. The shoreline is comprised of meadow and sand. Water temperature ranges from 8.9°C to 26.8°C (mean 21.1°C). pH values range from 7.6 to 8.3 (mean 8.0). Water transparency ranges from 1.4 to 3.0 metres (mean 2.1 metres).

Water Quality

Water quality classification is excellent for 2019–2022, 2020–2023, and 2021–2024. Escherichia coli 95-percentile values: 45 (2019–2022), 29 (2020–2023), 28 (2021–2024). Intestinal enterococci 95-percentile values: 30 (2019–2022), 20 (2020–2023), 34 (2021–2024). No identified major pollution sources. The Altzeschdorfer Mühlenfließ enters from the southwest. No municipal, industrial, or household treatment plants, cooling water discharges, stormwater systems, or mining-related discharges are present.
