Silbersee is an artificial lake created during motorway construction in the 1960s. It is popular with bathers due to its good accessibility, excellent bathing water quality, and good infrastructure. The lake has a surface area of 7 hectares and a maximum depth of 9 metres, making it attractive for recreational and competitive swimmers.
