Sommens badplats is located in the northern part of Lake Sommen in Tranås Municipality. It is the municipality's second largest bathing place, accommodating approximately 200–250 swimmers per day. The beach comprises roughly 200 metres of shore, with 100 metres of sand and 100 metres of stone and soft bottom, surrounded by large grassed areas. The bathing area is relatively shallow, with a maximum depth of 1.5 metres beyond the piers.
