Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2023). Identified pollution source: the coastal sewer collector that gathers wastewater from Portici municipality and conveys it via a lifting pump near the Pietrarsa museum to the Naples–Ponticelli treatment plant. Canal via Bagnara identified as a potential pollution source.
