Spiaggia Porto is a rocky beach located in Centola, in the Salerno province of Campania, Italy. The beach is positioned on a high coastline with rocky shores, with the Palinuro settlement to the north and a port area to the south. The slopes of Capo Palinuro are partially wooded. The beach has been classified as having excellent water quality for the years 2020–2023.

Rocky coastal beach on a high coastline. Water drains into the Lambro River and Mingardo River through two wastewater treatment systems.

Location

Centola, Salerno province, Campania region. The Palinuro settlement is located to the north of the beach, and the port of Palinuro is to the east.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2023). Two biological wastewater treatment plants with activated sludge systems discharge into the area: one at Colla, Palinuro fraction (into the Lambro River), and one at Ruscello, San Severino fraction (into the Mingardo River).

Risks

Port of Palinuro is identified as a potential pollution source to the east.
