Location

Ricadi, province of Vibo Valentia, Calabria. The beach is situated in an area preceding agricultural lands near the Torrente Vetrano river mouth.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent. The bathing water is monitored by the competent authorities (Regione Calabria, Comune, ASP, 118, Arpacal). No specific active wastewater treatment measures are currently reported.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events may occur through runoff from agricultural areas near the Torrente Vetrano river mouth. No cyanobacteria proliferation events or macroalgae/phytoplankton proliferation events were recorded in the previous four years.
