Stabilimento Canneto Beach-Portosauro is a rocky coastal bathing area located in the Taranto province of Puglia, Italy. The water body is classified as excellent based on water quality assessments from 2017–2020. The area covers 1.29 square kilometres and is part of the Torre dell'Ovo-Capo S. Vito water body. No wastewater discharge points or watercourse inflows that could convey pollutants to the bathing area have been identified.

Location

The bathing area is located in Leporano, Taranto province, Puglia region. It is part of the Lido Silvana catchment basin.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No wastewater discharge points deliver urban effluent to the sea. No watercourses or channels are present that could convey pollutants to the bathing area. No short-duration pollution events were recorded in the last four years.

Risks

The area is not characterised by cyanobacteria or algal blooms. No cases of potentially toxic algal species proliferation have been detected. No anomalous situations have been verified.
