Stage Cove

Ireland Coastal Unknown

Stage Cove is a small stony cove located near a former copper mining site, with an old winch remaining on site as a relic of its industrial history. Access is via a steep slipway not suitable for driving; parking is available at the top of the road, followed by a walk down to the beach. UNESCO information panels are placed at the site detailing its historical use for transporting copper via rowing boats to ships.
