Trá na mBó lies near Bonmahon, accessible via a narrow path leading to a small parking area at the Bonmahon Beach View Point, followed by a steep descent to the shoreline. The beach borders open sea with a cliff walk along its edges, an area used for rock climbing on the east side, and waves suited to surfing. No facilities are present at the beach itself.
