Austria Lake 1 - Excellent

Sulmsee is a lake located in the Sulm valley west of Leibnitz in Austria. It was created between 1964 and 1966 through the construction of dams during the relocation of the Sulm river to the valley's right edge.

Lake (artificial reservoir). Available swimming shoreline: 1,100 metres. Mean depth: 4.2 metres. Maximum depth: 7.5 metres. Water renewal time: approximately 120 days. The lake is fed by the Kogelgrabenbach stream from the north.

Location

Sulmsee is situated in the Sulm valley west of Leibnitz, the district capital. The monitoring point is located on the northern shore near the Kogelgrabenbach inlet.
