This is a coastal bathing area located 2 km north of Torrente Passovecchio in Crotone, Calabria. The beach is sandy with a straight coastline geomorphology. The seabed has a moderate slope of 1.3% from the waterline to the 5-meter isobath. Beach sediments range from 0.13 to 2 mm in grain size. The area faces agricultural territories to the north of Crotone port.

Pollution source identified at the mouth of Torrente Ponticelli. Short-duration pollution events characterized by surface runoff from agricultural areas. Cyanobacteria proliferation not documented in previous four years. Macroalgae and phytoplankton proliferation not documented.
