Location

Porto Cesareo, Lecce Province, Puglia region, Italy. The bathing area is located at the southern boundary of the Porto Cesareo-Torre Colimena Marine Protected Area.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2017–2020). No direct sewage discharge outlets, river mouths, or pollution sources are present in the bathing area. No short-duration pollution events were recorded in the past four years.

Risks

The area is not characterised by algal or cyanobacterial blooms. No cases of potentially toxic algal proliferation have been detected. No anomalous events have occurred.
