Risks

Potential sources of bacterial contamination include collective sewerage systems, non-collective sanitation installations, agricultural runoff from livestock and manure spreading, stormwater drainage, recreational boating (marina), caravan sites, and seabird populations. Green algae (ulva) blooms occur seasonally. Macro-debris has been documented. Medusae presence is noted.
