Tréompan beach is a bathing area in the commune of Ploudalmézeau. The beach profile was revised in April 2019 to identify pollution sources and their impact on bathing water quality. The revision builds on the initial profile from 2011 and incorporates water quality monitoring data and contamination episodes identified since then.

Water Quality

Water was classified as 'Sufficient' quality as of the 2013 bathing season. Enterococci and E. coli concentrations have been monitored since 2009. Contamination episodes have been recorded and are linked to rainfall, seasonality, and tidal coefficient variations.

Risks

Contamination from agricultural runoff, individual sanitation systems, and storm water discharges from the Flosque and Ranterboul streams. Rainfall, tidal conditions, and seasonal factors influence water quality.
