Risks

Short-term pollution events may occur due to river discharge increase after rainfall or sewerage network failure, typically lasting 1–2 days. Fecal contamination may originate from sewerage network accidents or illegal discharges during intense rainfall. Proliferation of cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton is unlikely.
