UV. Pokonji Dol is a natural beach located on the island of Hvar in Croatia. The beach features a rocky surface with pebbled areas and low to high vegetation. It stretches 250 metres in length with an average width of 8 metres. The coastal slope is steep, exceeding 25 degrees, while the underwater slope is moderate. Sea temperatures average 23.61°C during the season.

Floating safety lines for sea-side protection. Restaurant and trash can on beach. Sea buoys present.

Season

Monitoring occurs year-round with annual sampling and multi-year assessment periods from 2009 onwards.

Water Quality

Water quality classifications range from excellent to poor depending on the assessment period. Monitoring conducted annually with 10 samples per year and every four-year periods with 40 samples. Assessments conducted under both Croatian national regulations and EU Directive 2006/7/EC from 2009 through 2025.
