Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2024 according to Portuguese regulations (Decreto-Lei 135/09). A microbiological quality incident occurred on 01/07/2024, with non-compliant indicator values. Bathing was prohibited from 03/07 to 05/07/2024. Potential pollution sources include diffuse sources from agricultural and domestic activities upstream, solid waste from beach activities, flora and fauna, high user numbers, and dam discharge upstream.
