Vale Figueiras is a coastal bathing water located in a natural and very quiet zone within the Natural Park of Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina and a Natura 2000 site. The beach features wide golden sand extending 500 metres, surrounded by warped schist cliffs. A temporary watercourse ends on the beach. The tidal range is 3.4–3.5 metres with mean wave height of 1 metre and predominant wind direction from the north and northwest.
