La Crecque is a bathing beach located at the northern tip of Vauville Bay in the northwestern Cotentin region. The bay features a long sandy beach extending over 11 kilometres between Nez de Jobourg and the cliffs of Flamanville. The beach is situated in the commune of Vauville in the Manche department of Basse-Normandie.

Water quality monitoring conducted under Directive 2006/7/CE. Historical monitoring data available under previous Directive 76/160/CEE with simulations performed under new Directive 2006/7/CEE. Water quality classification and monitoring results documented in control history.

Risks

Potential sources of pollution identified including domestic wastewater from collective and non-collective sanitation systems, rainwater discharge, agricultural activities, and coastal discharges. Bacterial contamination pathways modeled through hydrodynamic simulation.
