Port Beach (Plage du Port) is a bathing area located in Omonville-la-Rogue, a coastal commune in the Hague region of Normandy. The beach is situated in the southern part of the Hâble port, positioned between Digulleville to the west and other nearby settlements. The bathing zone is subject to monitoring and classification under European bathing water quality directives.

Omonville-la-Rogue, Manche département (50), Basse-Normandie region. Located between Digulleville (west), Éculleville (southeast), and Beaumont-Hague (south). Parking available at the site.

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored for fecal contamination markers. Historical classification under Directive 76/160/CEE and simulated classification under Directive 2006/7/CE. Quality objective is to achieve 'sufficient quality' by 2015.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified include domestic wastewater, rainwater runoff, agricultural activities, artisanal and industrial activities, port and mooring zone activities, camping and mobile home areas. Bacterial flux dispersion in seawater has been modelled.
