Velika Luka is a partially cultivated beach located in Supetar on the island of Brač. The beach features a pebbled surface with some concrete structures and is lined with trees. It stretches 320 metres in length with an average width of 25 metres along an indented coastline. Average sea temperature during the season reaches 23.15°C.

Adriatic Sea. Average sea temperature 23.15°C during the season. Salinity ranges from 35.8 to 39.5 PSU. Tide amplitude 26.4 cm. Mild coastal slope (less than 15 degrees). Mild underwater coastal slope (less than 15 degrees). Prevailing wind from the north.

Location

Supetar, Brač island. Free parking is available. The beach is accessible by pedestrian path.

Restaurant, playground, land sports facilities, auxiliary facilities, trash cans, sea buoys, floating safety lines for beach fronts.

Season

Annual monitoring conducted from 2009 to 2025, with 10 samples per year from 2010 onwards. Multi-year assessment periods show consistent monitoring protocols.

Water Quality

Water quality monitoring has been conducted annually since 2009 under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ, with 10 samples collected per year from 2010 onwards. Assessment classifications include excellent, good, sufficient, and poor categories.
