Venezia Lido - colonia Morosini is a bathing water area located along the Lido of Venice, on the narrow island separating the northern portion of the Venice Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea. The beach is partially free and partially managed by health and recreational facilities including a nursing home and children's colony. The beach orientation runs along the north-south direction. The water has been classified as excellent from 2021 to 2024.

Location

Venice Lido, Venice province, Veneto region. The bathing area extends along the Lido island separating the Venice Lagoon from the Adriatic Sea. Beach width ranges from 25 to 100 metres. Water quality classification: Excellent (2021-2024). Enterococcus concentration: EI95° 13, EI90° 12.34, EC95° 16.723, EC90° 15.166. Wastewater treatment: Venice-Lido treatment plant with design capacity of 60,000 population equivalents, discharging directly to sea approximately 4 kilometres offshore.

Risks

No river mouths identified as pollution sources. No short-duration pollution events, anomalous situations, cyanobacteria proliferation potential, or macroalgae/phytoplankton/toxic species proliferation reported.
