Location

Castellammare di Stabia, province of Naples, Campania region. The beach is located on the sandy coast north of the Sarno River mouth.

Water Quality

Classification: Poor (D.Lgs. 30.05.08 n. 116). Monitoring period: 2020–2023. Wastewater from the area is conveyed to the Foce Sarno treatment plant and discharged via an underwater pipe.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified: Rivolo S. Marco (Lat 40.7042°N, Long 14.4818°E) and Rivolo Calcarella/Cannetiello (Lat 40.6993°N, Long 14.4814°E).
